Hi, I'm Ed — glad to share that my first research paper was published at the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), SEIS track! 🌈
As a member of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, I'm grateful to contribute to our visibility in tech. One of my motivations was to connect with other LGBTQIAPN+ software professionals and better understand the challenges we face in the industry.
The paper, "Investigating the Developer Experience of LGBTQIAPN+ People in Agile Teams", is available at:

Summary:
Diversity in software teams drives innovation and performance, but LGBTQIAPN+ professionals still face unique barriers — from discrimination and invisibility to lack of psychological safety. Based on a survey with 40 participants, our findings show that inclusive Agile practices (like retrospectives and pair programming) and remote work can significantly improve collaboration, comfort, and retention — when thoughtfully adapted. This research offers actionable insights for building more inclusive, respectful, and effective Agile environments.
Let’s connect — especially if you're LGBTQIAPN+ and in tech! 💬
