You make some good points here, but I'm not sure if listening and giving weight to such a negative inner voice is the best approach. If someone is under the influence of Dunning-Krueger, they're not going to have that voice. But when someone with impostor syndrome hears that voice, it's difficult to ignore and not get beat up by it.
I say don't listen to the voice telling you that you suck. Tell the voice to sit down and watch while you make progress.
yes, unfortunately, those who should listen to it more (the dunningkruegers) , will not even have that voice...
of course, I wanted to be a bit blunt and provocative. I don't mean giving weight to that voice, but at least don't shrug it off.
When I hear that voice inside my head... I react in 2 possible ways:
shut the f... up! I don't suck. now I show you!
yeah... I know, don't tell me! gimme some time and I'll show you how I get better.
either way, I get some energy to improve myself.
Anyways, I really like how you phrased it :
Tell the voice to sit down and watch you while you make progress.
For further actions, you may consider blocking this person and/or reporting abuse
