Just a kind suggestion: don't write the book you want to write with this attitude... no one wants to read an opinionated (subjective != honest) view about something that's absolutely, or almost, objective (have you ever tried writing a document actually read on Office with LibreOffice or similars? Have you ever tried to achieve the same fluidity of a game run on Windows on Proton?).

As a professional you should really opt for a distro known for its stability and reliability, like Fedora, Debian etc, rather than a niche one. But you'll probably see it in the future :)
