I’ve been a freelance WordPress developer since 2010.
No big agency. No buzzwords. Just me, working closely with real clients.
Here are the 5 things I always keep in mind when building a custom site.
No fluff. Just what works.
1. A clean structure wins over any fancy layout
Forget animations that slow things down.
Navigation should make sense, and the layout should breathe.
White space isn’t empty, it’s clarity.
2. Performance isn’t optional
If a page takes 5 seconds to load,
you’ve already lost visitors.
I optimize images manually, avoid bloated plugins,
and keep things as light as possible, even if nobody sees it.
3. Custom ≠ complicated
A tailored WordPress site doesn’t need to be messy.
I use Elementor + JetEngine, clean CPTs, and a backend clients can actually use.
The goal? Power and simplicity in the same place.
4. A site should feel solid
Hover effects are fun,
but what matters is that everything works.
No broken links, no weird bugs, no forms failing silently.
I test everything, twice.
5. It’s about the long run
Websites shouldn't be fragile toys.
They should be ready to grow, adapt, and last.
I don’t just build a site. I build something you can rely on.
