Failed postgrad Bsc Computing student :/ 30 year Hiatus. Underdog rising.

Family tragedy ripped me from my dream of graduating with a 1st class honours in BSc Computing pre 2000. At the close of my second year I had A* to A- grades in Assembly programming C++ Java development and Object Oriented Analysis and Design. I was sailing through when out of the winds of change came a storm of tragedy including my Sister passing away from a drugs overdose, my step mother getting arrested and the family getting evicted from our council home. I was forced to take a job with my Dad to maintain a privately rented property and ended up first taking the rest of the year out from my studies and then retaking the third year of my 4.5 year course from the beginning and part time. Long story short it took me a total of 7 years to finish the degree. My final result was a 2.2 and by the time this was all over I had completely given up on my initial direction. Fast forward 30 years and earlier this year I saw that AI may present the opportunity to create the Systems and services that I was once so passionate about. This is my journey and I don't know where it will take me but I know one thing, I am invigorated, excited and am having great fun learning about AI. Watch this space
