Amazon Ended FBA Commingling on March 31, 2026: How to Print Multi-SKU FNSKU Sheets Without Wasting 60% of Your Avery 5160 Stock

For the last decade, Amazon FBA resellers had two ways to avoid spending their weekends peeling barcode stickers: they either relied on commingled (stickerless) inventory, or they paid Amazon's prep team a few cents per unit to slap an FNSKU label on at the fulfillment center.

As of March 31, 2026, both of those escape hatches are officially dead in the US store. Brand owners with GTINs registered in Brand Registry can skip stickers, while every wholesale, retail-arbitrage, and online-arbitrage reseller must now physically apply an X00 FNSKU barcode label to every single unit before it leaves their garage or 3PL warehouse.

And that is when thousands of sellers discovered a glaring flaw in Amazon Seller Central's printing workflow.

1. The "7 Units of SKU A" Trap in Seller Central

When you create a Send-to-Amazon workflow for a mixed carton—say, 7 units of a kitchen thermometer, 11 units of a yoga strap, and 12 units of a coffee grinder (30 units total)—and click Print Item Labels for 30-up US Letter stock, what does Amazon give you?

Instead of packing all 30 stickers onto a single 30-up Avery 5160 sheet, Seller Central often spits out separate single-SKU pages or leaves partial rows blank.

That leaves you with two bad choices:

  1. Throw half-used sticker sheets in the trash (which adds up fast when you ship 200 mixed SKUs a week).
  2. Feed a half-peeled Avery 5160 sheet back into your laser printer—which works great right up until the exposed acrylic backing hits a 200°C fuser roller, delaminates inside the paper path, and turns a $350 Brother laser printer into a paperweight.

2. How to Pack 30 Mixed FNSKUs Onto One 5160 Sheet in 12 Seconds

We built UPCLabelMaker.com and its dedicated Amazon Seller Central Multi-SKU Sheet Guide specifically to fix this gap.

Instead of fighting a 6-step mail-merge wizard in Avery Design & Print, the workflow takes 12 seconds:

  • Open the Amazon FNSKU Label Maker and switch to Labels to print PDF (Avery 5160 30-up).
  • Click + Add another item for each SKU in your shipment box: enter X00..., product title, condition (New), and exact unit count (e.g., 7, 11, 12).
  • Download a single, unscaled 612 × 792 PostScript point (72 pt/in) PDF where Cell #1 through Cell #7 are SKU A, Cell #8 through Cell #18 are SKU B, and Cell #19 through Cell #30 are SKU C. Zero wasted stickers, zero re-fed sheets.

3. What If You Switched to a 203 DPI Thermal Printer (Rollo / Zebra / DYMO)?

Many high-volume resellers respond to the 2026 commingling cutoff by buying a 203 DPI thermal printer (Rollo, Zebra LP2844 / ZD410 / ZD421, or DYMO LabelWriter 4XL) and loading 2 × 1 inch (50.8 × 25.4 mm) thermal rolls.

If you go the thermal route, watch out for the crop-tool trap. Taking a raster screenshot of Seller Central's 30-up PDF and scaling it to fit a 2 × 1 inch label forces a 203 DPI printhead (where 1 dot = 0.125 mm) to dither fractional bar widths. The black bars bleed into the white spaces, violate Amazon's mandatory 10X (2.54 mm) quiet zone, and trigger unplanned FBA prep defects.

Our 203 DPI Thermal FNSKU Calibration Guide explains how vector SVG/PDF paths snap every Code 128B module to an exact integer multiple of 0.125 mm—and our open-source specification tables (fancydirty/gs1-barcode-label-specs) let you verify every millimeter yourself.

Whether you are printing 12-digit GS1 UPC-A stickers, 13-digit EAN-13 codes, Avery 5163 10-up box labels, or verifying GTINs with our Modulo-10 Check Digit Calculator, start by printing our free 1-page Crosshair Alignment Test Sheet PDF at 100% Actual Size.
