Yeah... Ironically, banks (and other financial institutions) are just about the freaking worst when it comes to enabling advanced security. I used to joke to other IT nerds, "I can tell what language a bank's website is written in just by what special characters I'm not allowed to use in passwords". Even my various doctors' web-sites typically allow better secondary security (in fairness, the majority of my formerly-independent doctors now practice through very financially stable mega hospital systems — dunno if the move away from independent was "just easier" or if said hospitals made it a condition of retaining privileges).
Fortunately my online bank has 2FA, they use their own app for it but it works well! Either a generated code or a notification which needs to be confirmed in app.
