While context switching will get in the way of completing a current task, I believe it is a skill you should develop and be aware of
Basically interruptions are part of life and knowing how to cope with context switching is key to coming back to a task without a full reset
It is also important to recognize that if you struggle with interruptions then itβs an indicator to learn how to use things like Do Not Disturb and schedule blocks on your calendar to avoid being pulled into things

Good points all around. Context switching is an interesting topic - and one which is, at times, under-discussed and poorly understood. Generally speaking, even the most senior devs are most productive when they do everything they can to avoid context switching. But context switching happens - whether you try to avoid it or not. And your ability to properly manage it is a critical factor in your success.
