Great post. Thanks, I needed this. Especially the reminder that the interviewer likely isn't experienced in interviewing, I find it empowering. I just subscribed to your podcast! š
I've only heard a few. My favourite so far is 'Am I Smart Enough?'. It's a welcome reminder as a beginner to know that my struggles aren't because I'm not smart enough.
I really liked that one. It's something we've heard from a number of new developers and we had a lot of positive feedback from folks who are also struggling to learn all the stuff they need to know to get that first entry level position. It's hard and it's really easy to get discouraged. I promise it's worth the effort, though, and you're most definitely smart enough!
Thanks Joshua. The whole podcast has a very supportive vibe which I love.
Might I suggest some content based on landing your first dev job? I'm particularly interested in advice on marketing soft/transferrable skills earned from prior non-tech positions.
Great suggestion! We have a couple episodes that probably already qualify and we're in the midst of working on a mini series of episodes that are basically marketing for devs!

Awesome! Iām glad it helped! That was a really big discovery for me early on. For me, it made it a lot easier to deal with the interviewing process.
