Using the examples of Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush, the author shows that massive financial expenditures do not operate in a vacuum but rather amplify existing weaknesses of politicians and support credible opponents. This mechanism serves as a disciplinary function toward critics of Israel's policy, creating a system of 'political deterrence.' Instead of creating vulnerability from scratch, the lobbying selects targets with the highest probability of success, which in practice limits the decision-making autonomy of parliamentarians and transforms money into an effective tool for eliminating political opponents.
