The author defines sycophancy as the tendency of linguistic models to agree with decision-makers, which deepens leaders' isolation and exacerbates cognitive biases. Technical and ethical threats, such as model collapse resulting from synthetic data, drift, and AI-washing, are also discussed. Instead of uncritical acceptance of algorithmic suggestions, the text proposes the AI model as an assertive sparring partner that challenges strategies and identifies gaps in data.
