This text provides an in-depth sociological analysis of contemporary times through the lens of Zygmunt Bauman's theory. The author describes the transition from a stable industrial modernity to a phase of fluidity, in which existing social frameworks and stable biographies are becoming blurred. The article discusses in detail the transformation of identity, which ceases to be a given and becomes a constant project centered on consumption and self-presentation. The article also addresses the issue of "liquid love" and the commercialization of feelings in a world dominated by digital technologies. Particular attention is paid to the Polish context, where "junk contracts" are becoming a symbol of a new ontology of temporariness. The whole is complemented by a diagnosis of decivilization processes, such as ideational agnosia and the banality of evil in the virtual space, raising questions about the ethical responsibility of the individual and the role of the state in protecting citizens from the effects of ubiquitous fluidity.
