Plants as a model of distributed intelligence and the future of technology

This text attempts to challenge the anthropocentric paradigm in which plants are treated as passive objects. Drawing on the research of Stefano Mancuso, the article presents plants as complex, intelligent systems capable of chemical communication, bioelectrical coordination, and advanced mechanoperception. The authors explain how plant architecture and their ability to exchange information in the rhizosphere could become the foundation for future technologies inspired by nature.
