The text analyzes the phenomenon of political apocalypticism, which abolishes the democratic principle of the reversibility of defeat, turning electoral processes into a struggle for survival. Using the 'Flight 93 Election' metaphor, the author shows how shifting the point of reference toward the domain of losses legitimizes radical actions as a form of extraordinary defense against inevitable catastrophe. Utilizing Kahneman and Tversky's prospect theory, the article explains the psychological mechanism in which the fear of losing fundamental values (civilization, identity) increases the willingness to take extreme risks. In this view, radical decisions are presented not as an attack on the system, but as the only way to save the status quo from total annihilation.
