The article analyzes the problem of leader over-performance, which becomes a barrier to growth in expanding organizations. The authors point out that the 'management by heroism' model and centralized decision-making are ineffective in the complex VUCA world. The key to scaling an organization is changing the leader's internal operating system—moving from reactivity driven by fear and the need for control (ego) toward designing a context that develops the potential of others. A leader should not be the sole source of solutions, but rather the architect of a psychological climate in which the team can safely take responsibility and learn from mistakes. True leadership consists of building systemic maturity instead of replacing processes with one's own efficiency.
