The article analyzes the Institutional Mahout model, in which psychiatry, school, work, and AI technologies function as external regulators of mental health. The author argues that psychological suffering often results from a mismatch between the human cognitive apparatus and modern stimuli, as well as toxic organizational structures. Instead of focusing solely on increasing individual resilience, efforts should be directed toward changing institutional architecture and eliminating psychosocial risk factors, in accordance with WHO guidelines. The text emphasizes the difference between compensatory interventions and systemic support for autonomy, opposing the reductionism that assigns responsibility for well-being exclusively to the individual while ignoring the destabilizing influence of the regulatory environment.
