The article analyzes the transformation of modern medicine, in which radical access to information has dismantled the former hierarchy of clinical knowledge. Although the democratization of data theoretically empowers the patient, the lack of quality filters means that reliable scientific evidence loses out to the attention economy. Digital platform algorithms promote emotional narratives and anecdotal testimonies from influencers instead of statistics and evidence-based medicine (EBM). As a result, an epistemic logic clashes with an economic one, where easier-to-digest heuristics replace rigorous data analysis. The text warns against the health optimization trap, in which biological information becomes a marketing product rather than a diagnostic tool.
