Contemporary discourse on mental health often misinterprets natural responses to stress as dysfunctions requiring treatment. The authors of this article challenge this fatalistic model, pointing to the dangers of a culture of diagnosis and the pharmacization of suffering. Instead of viewing uncertainty as a lifelong disability, the article encourages us to approach it as an evolutionary challenge. This article is an anti-fragility manifesto, promoting resilience as the foundation of mental health in unstable times while rejecting harmful cognitive simplifications.
