Introducing Prism: An Open-Source Legal OS

Legal work still revolves around documents, but the workflows around those documents remain surprisingly manual. Drafting often starts from old files, analysing a contract means going through it page by page, compliance checks are repetitive, and comparing multiple versions of similar agreements can quickly become a spreadsheet exercise.

At FuturixAI, we wanted to approach this as an engineering problem.

Today, we're open-sourcing Prism, an Open-Source Legal OS built to bring these workflows into one intelligent workspace. Prism can help with legal drafting, document analysis, compliance checking, and comparison of similar documents through structured comparison matrices.

We don't see Prism as another chatbot that answers questions about contracts. The goal is to build infrastructure that developers can use to create more capable legal workflows around documents, context, and structured legal information.

We're opening the project because we want developers to inspect the architecture, experiment with different models and workflows, extend what we've built, and challenge our assumptions. Legal AI still has difficult problems to solve around document intelligence, reasoning, evaluation, compliance, and reliability.

Prism is our starting point.

We're putting it in the open and looking forward to seeing what the community builds with it.
