Google Meet Can Now Use Gemini to Take Meeting Notes Automatically

Google has introduced a new Gemini feature that can automatically take notes during Google Meet calls.

Instead of trying to write everything down, you can stay focused on the conversation while Gemini handles the notes for you.

The feature creates a meeting transcript, highlights the key discussion points, lists action items, and prepares a clear summary.

After the meeting, the notes are saved as a Google Docs file in Google Drive, and participants also receive an email with the meeting recap.

You can turn on AI note-taking during a meeting or enable it through Google Meet settings. To keep everyone informed, Google lets all participants know whenever the feature is active.

At the moment, this feature is available only for users with eligible Google AI subscriptions or supported Google Workspace plans.

If you spend a lot of time in meetings, it can make reviewing discussions and tracking tasks much easier.
