Netflix is rolling out a new sign-in requirement that gives eligible users their own login credentials.
If you're using a shared subscription as an add-on member or secondary user, you'll now need to link your profile to a unique email address.
Some users may see a prompt asking them to do this before they can continue watching.
The update makes it easier for each user to manage their own account, whether it's signing in on a new device, resetting a password, or using extra security features like two-factor authentication when available.
It also helps keep personal preferences separate, so language, audio, and display settings stay customized for each profile.
The new rule doesn't apply to kids' profiles, which can still be used without a separate email address.
With this change, Netflix is making shared accounts easier to manage while giving users a more secure and personalized streaming experience.
