I think I finally accepted that I got scammed. For weeks my broker kept telling me my withdrawal was approved but couldn’t be released until I paid a final “release fee” linked to anti-money laundering checks. By that point I already had a large balance showing inside the account, so I convinced myself it made sense to pay one last fee just to unlock everything.
Right after I sent the payment, things started getting weird.
The broker stopped answering my messages for almost a full day, which had never happened before. When I finally tried logging back into my trading account, the website suddenly said my credentials were invalid. I reset the password twice and still couldn’t get in. A few hours later the entire dashboard stopped loading altogether.
That’s when I started searching phrases like “paid withdrawal release fee then account disappeared” and “broker account deleted after payment.” I found a lot of people describing almost the exact same scam setup with forex and crypto investment platforms — fake profits, endless fees, then complete silence once the victim sends the final payment.
I was honestly embarrassed to even talk about it, but I ended up contacting Jim Recovery Team after seeing their name mentioned in a discussion about frozen broker accounts. I mainly wanted help tracing where the funds were actually sent because the company information on the website now looks completely fake.
If a broker keeps inventing new fees before allowing withdrawals, be careful. I ignored the warning signs because I kept thinking I was one payment away from getting my money back.
