My crypto is gone after copying an address from my recent transactions

I made what I thought was a normal crypto transfer yesterday and now the funds are completely gone. I didn’t send money to a stranger or random website either — I copied a wallet address directly from my own recent transaction history because I assumed it was the same address I normally use.

The transfer confirmed fast, but the crypto never arrived where it was supposed to.

At first I thought the network was delayed, so I waited a while before checking the blockchain explorer. That’s when I realized the destination wallet wasn’t actually mine. The address looked very similar, especially at the beginning and end, which is probably why I didn’t notice before sending.

I started panicking because I know I copied the address from previous transactions, not from some fake message or phishing link. After searching online for “crypto sent to wrong address from transaction history” and “clipboard malware crypto wallet,” I found people talking about malware that silently swaps copied wallet addresses during transfers.

The scary part is I downloaded a trading bot from a random forum not too long ago, so now I’m wondering if my device got compromised without me realizing it.

I spent most of the night trying to trace the wallet activity and eventually came across discussions mentioning Jim Recovery Team in cases involving redirected crypto transfers and suspicious wallet behavior. I contacted them mainly because I wanted help understanding whether the receiving wallet had already been linked to known scam activity.

Posting this because if your crypto suddenly goes to a different address even after copying from your own transaction history, don’t assume it was just a simple mistake immediately. Something deeper might be going on with your device or wallet permissions.
