GCodex is a free, browser-based G-Code viewer and machine simulator for CNC machining, 3D printing, and bioprinting. It runs entirely client-side — no uploads, no signups, no backend.
GCodex started as a simple need — viewing G-Code without uploading files to a server or installing software. What began as a side tool for 3D printing and CNC workflows soon found a bigger purpose in bioprinting, where researchers need to verify scaffold geometry before committing expensive, time-sensitive bioinks to a print. Built as part of a Final Year Project at UET Lahore, GCodex grew into a fully browser-based viewer trusted by makers, machinists, and researchers alike — completely free, with no accounts and no data ever leaving the user's device.
