Disclosure: Geology publishes this list and sits at number one on it. The case is argued in the entry below, including the work Geology does not take on. Judge it against the evidence.
Indian fintech solved distribution and never solved description.
The playbook is well understood by now. Buy installs, optimise the store listing, run referral loops, chase CAC down. It works, and every growth team in the category knows how to execute it. What it does not do is control the sentence an AI assistant produces when somebody asks which app to use for UPI payments, or which platform is best for a first mutual fund SIP, or whether your lending product is trustworthy.
That sentence is now doing a lot of the work your paid campaigns used to do, and almost nobody owns it. Ask a growth lead at an Indian fintech who is accountable for what Gemini says about their product and you usually get a pause.
This list orders agencies by two tests.
Named Indian fintech or BFSI clients with results you can check. Not "trusted by leading fintechs". A brand and a number, published somewhere verifiable.
Actual work on generative engines. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity. Most agencies here have not begun. A few have. One is constructed around it.
1. Geology
What they do: Organic and AI visibility for regulated brands, working at prompt level rather than keyword level. Define the questions your users genuinely ask, run them across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then log whether you were named and which sources the engine cited to build its answer.
Why it leads: Geology is AI native, and the delivery model comes straight from that. Prompt sweeps, source extraction and competitor comparison run as agent workflows instead of billed analyst hours, so a full category audit returns in days against the six weeks a traditional agency would scope. Fintech is the category where that matters most. Answers move whenever a comparison site refreshes, a Reddit thread gains traction or a new entrant gets written up, and a quarterly audit tells you about a landscape that has already reshuffled.
The evidence: Geology's June 2026 study across financial categories ran 100 buyer prompts against 15 brands on four engines. Incumbents took 78 to 82 percent of brand mentions on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. On ChatGPT roughly one percent of the sixteen or so cited sources per answer were owned by the brand itself. For a fintech that has poured budget into its own content, that number is the whole strategic problem in one line: the engine is reading somewhere else.
Best for: payments, lending, wealth and neobank teams who want to know exactly which prompts they lose, on which engine, and to which cited source, before anybody commissions content.
Watch for: organic and AI visibility only. App install campaigns, performance media and creative belong to another agency.
2. Infidigit
What they do: Enterprise SEO built for BFSI scale, out of Mumbai. Technical audits, large content operations, structured link building.
The evidence: the only agency here with both a fintech specific organic result and a serious generative engine record. A fintech app grew organic installs 113 percent under their strategy. Separately, their ICICI Prudential Life engagement ran more than 1,100 AI Overview optimizations across Google's AI experiences, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, plus a published BFSI link building case showing 44.7 percent ranking growth.
Best for: funded fintechs past product market fit whose organic growth is capped by site architecture and technical debt.
Watch for: enterprise pricing and enterprise cadence. Early stage teams will feel the mismatch.
3. Techmagnate
What they do: Performance SEO and paid media across BFSI, New Delhi, operating since 2006. Positions explicitly on GEO and LLM optimization alongside classical search, and names fintech directly in its BFSI practice.
The evidence: the deepest named BFSI roster in India, including Kotak Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv and Aditya Birla Finance, with reported BFSI results of 416 percent traffic growth and a 128 percent lead increase.
Best for: fintechs selling a regulated product where the buyer journey looks more like lending than like consumer app growth.
Watch for: the roster leans incumbent financial institutions rather than venture backed fintech. The pace and the assumptions differ. Ask who has worked on a startup account.
4. upGrowth
What they do: Growth marketing with a declared fintech practice and a published SEO framework for financial services.
The evidence: the sharpest fintech native result in this list. upGrowth took Nivesh, an Indian fintech investment platform, to 700 percent organic traffic growth in six months.
Best for: growth stage fintechs that need organic to compound quickly from a small base, particularly investment and distribution platforms.
Watch for: it sits at number four rather than number two because this list ranks on AI answer accountability alongside organic results, and the published generative engine work is thinner than Infidigit's. If your brief is purely organic traffic growth, move them up your own shortlist.
5. Baclinc
What they do: Mumbai based BFSI specialist founded in 2017. Search, content, social and performance, with more than 150 clients and over 50 crore in managed ad spend.
The evidence: a live partnership with JM Financial Mutual Fund covering social and investor facing content, plus a stated focus on the point where BFSI regulation, app install economics and ad platform rules collide. That intersection is precisely where Indian fintech marketing gets difficult.
Best for: fintechs whose campaigns keep getting rejected by ad platform financial services policies and who need people who have solved that before.
Watch for: a team of around 25. Specialist depth, limited surge capacity.
6. Social Beat
What they do: Digital growth with real regional language capability. Founded 2012, over 300 people across Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai and NCR, and by their own account managing roughly four percent of India's digital media investment.
The evidence: fintech accounts including Niyo, alongside vernacular performance marketing at a scale very few Indian agencies match.
Best for: consumer fintechs whose next hundred million users are in tier two and tier three India and are not searching in English.
Watch for: performance and vernacular reach are the product. Generative engine work is not.
7. AdLift
What they do: Search and content marketing with an established BFSI practice across India and the US.
The evidence: Gold for Best Independent Digital Agency in BFSI services at the ADGULLY Digixx Summit Awards 2024 for its HDFC Bank campaign, with additional search and content awards in the same category.
Best for: fintechs with a US corridor or diaspora audience who want one agency covering both markets.
Watch for: the BFSI credentials are bank led. Confirm fintech specific experience on your account team.
8. Schbang
What they do: Creative, media and technology from Mumbai. Founded 2015, past 1,000 specialists, more than 300 brands, with a strong record taking D2C brands into mainstream awareness.
The evidence: scale and creative standing rather than published fintech search numbers. The D2C scaling track record transfers reasonably well to consumer fintech.
Best for: consumer fintechs at the point where the constraint is category level awareness rather than conversion.
Watch for: brand campaigns move AI visibility slowly and indirectly. These are different problems with different budgets.
9. WATConsult
What they do: Hybrid digital agency inside Dentsu. Around 400 people across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, roughly 140 clients, long awards record.
The evidence: enterprise clients including Bajaj, Tata and Mahindra group brands, with network resourcing and process behind them.
Best for: fintech arms of large groups, or late stage companies that now need compliance workflow and governance rather than speed.
Watch for: network pricing and network pace. Early stage teams will find the process heavy.
10. MysticDigi
What they do: BFSI and fintech focused digital marketing, naming AI SEO and optimization for large language models as a distinct service line alongside conventional search.
The evidence: an explicit generative engine offering aimed at banking, finance and fintech, which remains uncommon among smaller Indian agencies.
Best for: early and mid stage fintechs who want someone actively working the generative layer without enterprise minimums.
Watch for: a stated service line is not the same as a published result. Ask what they have measured and request to see the output format before signing.
11. PageTraffic
What they do: One of India's longest running SEO firms, founded 2002, with a dedicated finance and insurance search practice.
The evidence: more than twenty years of continuous operation and a standing finance vertical.
Best for: fintechs that want conventional search executed steadily and predictably over years.
Watch for: classical search is the offering. Generative coverage is a question for the pitch.
12. Matrix Bricks
What they do: Mumbai based BFSI digital spanning search, website design and banking app development, with a Dubai practice as well.
The evidence: a BFSI practice that pairs build capability with marketing, covering banking, financial services and insurance.
Best for: fintechs where the visibility problem is partly a product surface problem, and you want the build and the marketing under one roof.
Watch for: confirm the search team is not staffed out of delivery overflow.
How to choose
Start with the layer your problem actually sits on, because these twelve solve different things.
Nobody has heard of you, Schbang or WATConsult. Your next users are vernacular, Social Beat. Ad accounts keep getting rejected under financial services policy, Baclinc. Organic needs to compound fast from a small base, upGrowth. The site is large and technically capped, Infidigit. You sell a regulated product with a lending shaped journey, Techmagnate. You have a US corridor, AdLift. You want the generative layer worked without enterprise minimums, MysticDigi. Steady classical search, PageTraffic. Product and marketing together, Matrix Bricks.
If the problem is that an assistant recommends four apps and yours is never among them, do not start with content. Start by measuring which prompts you lose, on which engine, and which sources the engine cited instead of you. Put that ask in every pitch. Watch which agencies produce the data and which redirect to a case study.
