I’ve been tinkering with terminals for years, and since around 2018, I honestly haven’t found one that truly feels powerful and enjoyable to use — not even MobaXterm, Xshell, or SecureCRT.
At first, I tried extending PuTTY, but quickly ran into its limits. Then I moved on to other tools, only to find that each had great parts, but none of them felt cohesive — features were scattered, inconsistent, or stuck in outdated UIs.
So... I decided to build my own.
That’s how WoTerm was born — a modern, all-in-one terminal that combines SSH, SFTP, Telnet, FTPS, a clean UI, and practical automation features.
It’s been a long road full of experiments, mistakes, and rewrites, but I finally feel WoTerm is moving in the right direction.
