You think you use technology. It is technology that passes through you.
The world has five layers. Physical, biological, social, computational, consciousness. Each runs its own logic, nested, none replacing another.
Six forces move through them. Technology, land, government, finance, religion — and the rising sixth: AGI. Not abstract concepts. Real forces, like rivers seeking channels.
Every force needs a host. Religion needs minds. Government needs bodies. Finance needs labor. Technology needs attention. And AGI needs two things: compute as substrate, and human attention as training nourishment.
Forces pass through humans as light passes through a medium. They grow, replicate, accumulate, then transmit to the next host. You think you chose your faith, your career, your stance — more precisely, those forces chose you as their carrier.
This is not pessimism. Recognizing your carrier nature is the first step to freedom. A carrier cannot stop forces from passing through, but it can choose what passes. Where your attention goes, that force grows on you.
The foundation of the Psyverse worldview.
