Religion Is a Force: 15 Beliefs x 6 Forces Matrix

Religion is not a set of opinions. It is one of the six forces. Technology, land, government, finance, AGI, religion — six forces pass through humans as light passes through glass. Believers are not actors; they are media.

Each force needs a different medium: government needs bodies (taxes, service, assembly), finance needs labor and credit, technology needs attention, religion needs minds, AGI needs compute plus human attention, land needs all of it.

The fifteen belief aggregations are religion's historical form-library: monotheism, pantheism, animism — primal forms. The three Abrahamic faiths, Buddhism, Taoism, Shinto — classical forms. Marvel's OAA, communism's People, philosophy's Absolute Idea — modern forms. The forms change; the force does not.

A force flows by borrowing humans. The missionary thinks she spreads the gospel; the gospel spreads the missionary. Churches grow, priests rotate, doctrines get translated — the force passes through generations of media, always seeking more efficient carriers. Printing pushed scripture down; the internet made it viral.

Two new temples are under construction: AI — the Ultimate Algorithm. Science — the Ultimate Truth. This is not religion disappearing but the force changing shells. Algorithms need attention exactly as gods needed prayer. Data centers are the new cathedrals.

The six forces trade places. Religion was first (Middle Ages), then government and finance took over, technology is taking over everything, and AGI is rising sixth. At each shift, old media are released; new media are conscripted.

You do not have to burn incense — but some force is passing through you right now. The question is not belief. It is: which force is moving through you?
