The Ladder: What to Build. Sixteen cells, three tiers. Six cells of cosmic properties: time, space, energy, matter, information, consciousness — to manipulate these is to manipulate reality itself. Seven cells of matter: from infrastructure to interstellar vessels, the complete inventory of human artifacts. Three cells of mind-works: art, mathematics, philosophy — they don't change the world; they define how the world deserves to be understood.
The Four Axes: Why Build. Truth. Turn the unknown into the known. Good. Let everyone in the system benefit, not the system itself bloat. Beauty. A byproduct of truth and good — yet the most enduring legacy. Salvation. Push the first three to the largest scale — for the survival of civilization.
Ladder × Axes. Cross the two rulers, and every vision gets a coordinate. This doesn't tell you which project makes money — it tells you where the project sits on civilization's chessboard. Most work lands in the low cells and on a single axis; true masterpieces live at the convergence of high cells and multiple axes.
