All value judgments finally collapse into three words: truth, good, beauty. They aren't a parallel list of virtues — they're a strict operating order.
Truth is the foundation. Truth is "consistency with fact." Without it, good becomes well-meaning harm, and beauty becomes a well-packaged lie. History's disasters mostly began with concessions on truth. Truth's enemy was never malice — it's convenience.
Good is the structure. Good is "making lives in the system better." But good must stand on truth — goodwill ignorant of reality is the most dangerous thing there is. Good's test is cold: does it benefit concrete people, or only the concept of "good"?
Beauty is emergence. Beauty isn't decoration; it's what emerges when truth and good mesh and run. A mathematician calling a proof beautiful means it's true elegantly; an engineer calling a system beautiful means it's good efficiently. Beauty cannot be pursued — only attracted.
The order is the morality. Beauty first is glitter. Good first (skipping truth) is where disasters start. Truth alone is cold correctness. Truth → Good → Beauty: the only order that doesn't collapse.
The weekly test: What inconvenient-but-true thing did I say? What did I do that benefited a concrete person? What became beautiful on its own?
