I built Monk Mode because I kept losing the best part of the day to tiny interruptions.
Not big failures. Just a constant drip:
- one notification
- one quick app check
- one feed scroll
- one "I should answer this now" moment
That adds up fast. By the time I sat down to do deep work, the day was already fragmented.
Monk Mode is my answer to that problem.
It is not about becoming a productivity robot. It is about making distraction expensive enough that you stop reaching for it by default.
I built it for the real moments:
- when you know you should stay in the task
- when your phone or laptop is pulling you off course
- when "just for a second" turns into 20 minutes
