Apple’s 2026 Apple TV 4K moves from the A15 Bionic in the 2022 model to an A19, and adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and built-in microphones for remote-free voice commands.
The announcement also specifies feature dependencies: Precision Finding needs an iPhone 17 or later, while Siri AI requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device and is limited to English in eight countries.
Changes to the device and remote control
The new Apple TV 4K has an A19 processor, while the 2022 model uses the A15 Bionic. It also has microphones so you can give voice commands to Siri without a remote, as well as upgraded wireless connectivity.
The remote has a pinpoint tracking feature. You can use it with an iPhone 17 or later to find your remote if you lose it. It's also sold separately for $59 and works with older Apple TV 4K models.
The new device can connect to up to four HomePods, mini 2 or second-generation models, for surround sound. It is only available with 128GB of storage and a port for wired internet connection.
Which devices support Siri AI?
Siri AI will be available via software update on the second-generation Apple TV 4K and later. It also requires an Apple device that supports Apple Intelligence. The feature is available in English only and in eight countries.
