Google Gemini now supports up to 10 scheduled actions at once, including recurring news searches and travel-time updates tied to calendar appointments.
Gemini Spark can summarize email and add calendar tasks, but its Gmail, Calendar and Drive connections require manual activation, and important actions need user confirmation.
Some features may vary by region.
Program and daily routine organization
You can set Gemini to check your calendar daily and let you know how much time you'll need to travel between appointments. For this to work, you need to manually enable Gemini's connection to Google apps, like your calendar, email, and files, through settings.
Additionally, you can set daily or weekly searches for news that interests you, receiving notifications about the results. You can have up to 10 such automated actions active at the same time. If you want food or coffee recommendations, Gemini can also suggest routes and places for you, as long as you give it access to your location.
Saving instructions and specialized features
The new “skills” feature replaces older tools by allowing you to save specific instructions and preferences. This way, you can apply your own rules to a task with a single command, avoiding having to write them from scratch each time.
The role of Gemini Spark
For Pro or Ultra subscribers, Gemini Spark is available. It's an assistant that can work autonomously, even when your devices are turned off. Among other things, it can summarize your emails and automatically add to-dos to your calendar.
For security reasons, Spark always asks for confirmation from the user before performing important actions. Please note that some of the above features may not be available in all regions.
