Google’s Oct.
9 teaser points to a likely Fitbit Edge reveal on Oct.
12, but it does not amount to a full product presentation.
The article separates what the teaser indicates from reported details, including battery life and a possible €179 European price; those specifications have not yet been officially announced.
Images of the device have appeared since at least August 2026, in promotional material for Google's Pixel 11. Earlier this week, Android Headlines published images and information about built-in apps and health tracking features. Dealabs also reported details about the appearance, naming, battery, and potential price.
According to Dealabs, the battery can last up to seven days when the always-on display is off, or up to two days when it is on. The likely price in Europe is 179 euros, about $200. The publication estimates that in the US the price could be closer to $180, but Google has not announced a price.
The US price estimate is based in part on the Fitbit Air, which was released earlier in 2026. The Fitbit Air doesn't have a display and starts at $99 in the US and €99 in Europe. Compared to the Fitbit Edge, the Pixel Watch 5 is positioned as a higher-end device.
The last fitness tracker of this size that Google introduced was the Fitbit Charge 6, in 2023. The publication estimates that the Fitbit Edge could be an upgrade from the Fitbit Air and help Google promote its Google Health Premium subscription.
