Investigate the recent physical security incidents targeting European Starlink ground infrastructure, including attempted arson attacks in Lithuania, Poland, and Bulgaria, impacting satellite communication networks and operational logistics.
The attempt in Lithuania
On Sunday, Lithuania's prime minister reported an arson attempt at a Lithuanian company storing Starlink communications equipment. The incident occurred around 02:00 a.m. and targeted satellite antennas and a control unit. Containers of flammable liquids, ranging in capacity from three to ten liters, were found at the scene.
Lithuanian authorities believe the attack is linked to similar incidents in Poland and Bulgaria, and believe the goal is to disrupt Starlink and impact Ukrainian operations, which depend on the system for military communications and the use of drones.
The arrests in Poland and Bulgaria
European authorities have already made arrests. Two Turkish nationals were arrested in connection with the attack on a Polish station. Arrest warrants have also been issued for two Germans accused of setting fire to at least eight antennas near Sofia, Bulgaria.

Issues with military extradition in Ukraine
At the same time, questions have arisen about the military version of the system, known as Starshield, which is used by the Ukrainian military.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the equipment stops working at speeds of 130 to 161 kilometers per hour, which delays the transportation of supplies and limits the use of some drones.
While Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump denied imposing speed restrictions, reports by the Reuters news agency reported that the order to slow down the service for the Ukrainian military was given from within the White House and the US Department of Defense.
