Nirva has raised $25 million in pre-Series A funding, taking its total to $33 million.

Its first wearable processes speech into insights about patterns, emotions and communication style.

Users provide voice snippets during onboarding to build the model; by default, audio and transcripts are not kept after processing, though tone, pitch, volume and speed are tracked before the audio is discarded.

Who is behind Nirva?

The company was founded in 2025 by Wei Lyu, Jason Chen, and Hanying Hu. Wei Lyu and Jason Chen had worked at Meta Reality Labs, while Hanying Hu had founded a fashion and jewelry brand.

Earlier this year, Nirva raised $8 million from investors including Lightspeed and South Park Commons.

How does jewelry work?

The device weighs about eight grams and its battery lasts up to three days on a single charge. It is designed to listen only to the wearer, filtering out conversations from people around them. During initial setup, users record short snippets of their voice so the system can learn to recognize it.

According to Nirva, by default the device does not retain audio files or transcripts of conversations after they are processed. Before deleting the audio, it examines the tone, pitch, volume and speed of the voice to draw conclusions about the user's emotions.

What does the app show?

The mobile application analyzes what the user says and draws conclusions about their personality, habits, the people around them, the places they visit, their emotions and their way of communicating.

Price and availability

The device costs $249 and will be available in silver, brushed silver, black, and gold. Nirva will start taking orders in November and plans to ship the first devices to users by the end of the year.
