Reports on Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 describe cross-device sharing between Xiaomi phones and iPhones, including photos, files, contacts and web links.
Notifications and messages are also expected to sync, with replies possible from either phone.
The connection reportedly requires Xiaomi's connectivity app and a shared Xiaomi account; whether all features will reach international versions remains unconfirmed.
Notifications will appear on both devices in real time, and users will be able to reply to messages from whichever phone they have available. Photo albums stored in the cloud will be accessible from both phones.
The Xiaomi connectivity app and a shared Xiaomi account are required to connect. Additionally, through the Mi Connect Desktop app, Mac and iPad owners will be able to control a Xiaomi phone running HyperOS 4 from their computer or tablet.
The software debuted on the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Its wider availability is expected to begin on October 15, 2026. It is unclear whether all features will be available without changes in international versions of HyperOS 4.
