Why the Government believes criticism on BSNL is incorrect

BSNL's services and rate of expansion have frequently drawn criticism, particularly when
compared with private telecom companies. The Indian government, however, feels that these
critiques are incorrect.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently spoke about this matter and highlighted that
BSNL's situation must be seen in the right context. She added that although BSNL faced major
challenges, it is currently making steady progress toward recovery with the help of the
government.
