Wrapping up 2022!!

If I have to describe my year 2022 in a few words I would say - "Power of manifesting".

I stopped making new year goals long back. I now go with the flow.

As I look back I see growth, learning, and enjoying life.

So, here are the highlights of my 2022:

🧳 Moved to London

I started this year with the huge step for my career and life - I moved to London.

I had tweeted all my experience over twitter - food, travel, struggle of finding house, etc.

After spending almost 8 months in London, I can say this is my 2nd home.

🫢🏾 Moved to IC (Individual Contributor) from Engineering Manager

I moved to Engineering Manager role 3 years back. I was enjoying as first-time manager. It was a learning an experience

However, sooner I realized that EM is not something I am keen to keep doing all my life. I was already close to coding. I finally decided to move back to the developer track.

It is now 4 months since I move back to the development track. I am extremely happy with my decision. Reasons:

1) Less meetings

2) Remote work

3) More control on my calendar

4) Closer to what I prefer to do - Coding

🫢🏾 Talks

This was the year when I decided to reduce my public talks. I wanted to focus more on learning new skills. But still, I gave a few talks:

  1. Keynote at React India

  2. Accessibility at RDS

  3. Testing at Pesto

✊ Workshops

2022 opened a new opportunity for me where I taught students different tech. The batch size was between 25 - 40.

  1. ReactJS

  2. NodeJS

  3. Full Stack Web Development

  4. AWS

  5. Testing of FE apps

  6. Web development

Started my YouTube channel

Infact (re)-started my youtube channel. There is so much to talk and share about from my experience, so, Idecided to restart my YouTube channel.

🫰🏽 Travel

This year I have travelled a few places

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Started Yoga

After moving to London, my health became my priority. I was doing 10k steps daily. I now wanted to get myself into a more active life. Hence, yoga :)

What didn't worked:

1 . Calligraphy

I wish I could do more art and calligraphy. I missed artistry-neha. But I still did a few artworks. Here is for your eyes:

2 . Certificates

I wanted to get my AWS certificates but I was not able to book them. Definitely, 2023 would be my year for certificates

Overall 2022 was a great year and I am thankful to everyone and all opportunities.
