Deleting, Leaving or Transferring an Organization

Leaving an Organization:

To remove yourself from an org, navigate to organization settings, select the org, and click "Leave Organization." Note that organization admins require another admin to remove their status first.

Posts After Leaving an Org:

Your posts will remain under the organization when you leave, with you still appearing as the author. However, organization admins can edit, re-credit, or delete any article shared under their org. If you wish to remove your posts from the org, do so before leaving or request an organization admin's assistance.

Transferring OrganizationOwnership:

To transfer organization ownership to another user, utilize the invitation secret code from organization settings to invite them as an organization member. Once they've joined, change their organization role to admin. As you can't remove the admin role from yourself, ask the new admin to do so, then return to organization settings and leave the organization.

Deleting An Organization

To delete your organization, ensure you meet specific criteria, such as being the only member or an Admin, and ensuring the organization has no posts. Navigate to organization settings, select the org, and scroll to the "Danger Zone" to delete.

Q: Can I join multiple organizations?

A: Absolutely! You can manage multiple organization memberships in your settings. Simply select "Organizations" from the left navigation menu; from there you'll be able to toggle among the multiple organizations you're a part of. Additionally, organization admins can promote other members to admin status, allowing for multiple admins within your org.
