WSL it's just this shiny "new Microsoft" doing old things like embrace, extend, and extinguish. Personally I believe that this kind of testimony is a disservice to the FLOSS community.
Maybe I'm being too harsh, nonetheless it has to be said.
Again, I’m not knocking Linux. I love it. But my personality tends to lead me to easy distraction. That was most of the point. And I see no chains holding me in Windows. A large chunk of the software I use is still open source. I think the eee mentality is a little extreme these days. The company has evolved, and it may very well evolve again into something I don’t like. If so I will go elsewhere. But I personally have no issue with them at this time.
