Meta Muse AI Guide 2026: How to Resolve Waitlist & Age Verification Issues?

#ai

The AI race is shifting from “Who gives the best answers?” to “Who can get more things done for you?” Meta’s AI agent, Muse, launched in September, is part of this shift. By connecting apps such as email and calendars and interacting with web pages, it can turn a simple request into a task that keeps moving forward.

Want to try Meta Muse but stuck on the waitlist or unable to pass the age check with your bank card? These issues require different approaches. This guide compares three common sign-up methods, walks you through the approach that has worked best in our tests, explains how to troubleshoot verification issues, and shows you how to claim 1 billion free tokens to get started with Muse AI.

1. What Is Muse AI?

Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. It can plan tasks around your goals and carry them out using a browser and connected apps—for example, organizing email, looking up information, managing your calendar, and planning trips. For tasks that take time, Muse can keep working in the background and notify you when your input or approval is needed.

For global marketing and cross-border business teams, Muse can also help analyze campaign performance, organize customer communications, draft campaign materials, and work with business tools such as Facebook and Instagram. Available capabilities depend on your account and the connectors you have authorized.

As of October 27, 2026, Muse is available in the United States, Canada, and Japan. The service launched in Japan on October 23.

However, some users may run into sign-up issues before they can try Muse. Common reasons include:

  • Availability restrictions: The page may say the service is not yet available and invite you to join the waitlist. Creating a Meta account does not automatically grant access to Muse.
  • An unstable network or browser setup: Frequently changing IPs or devices, or enabling multiple proxy extensions at once, can cause failed redirects, lost sessions, and repeated verification requests. Keep your network and browser setup consistent.
  • Age verification failure: Some users must confirm their age with a bank card or another option shown on the page. Verification may fail because of card compatibility, billing details, or account information.

III. How to Sign Up for Meta Muse AI:Improve Your Chances of Success

1. Set Up Your Browser and Network

Use the latest version of Chrome and create a separate browser profile for Muse. This helps prevent other accounts’ login sessions and unrelated extensions from interfering with the process.

You can set the browser’s preferred language to English (United States). This makes it easier to follow English-language instructions, but it does not change account eligibility or guarantee that regional checks will pass.

For use cases that require a consistent U.S. network exit, you can use an IPFoxy dedicated static residential IP in the United States and configure it with IPFoxy Proxy Manager, the proxy management extension for Chrome.

One important tip: assign one fixed exit IP to each account and keep it consistent during registration, login, and everyday use. Consistency is an important factor in many platforms’ risk checks and may affect the sign-up experience.

Follow these setup steps:

In your IPFoxy account, prepare a static residential proxy for the required location. Start with the United States (US) if that fits your use case.

Install IPFoxy Proxy Manager from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the browser toolbar.

Chrome does not include built-in proxy configuration controls, so a proxy management extension makes setup easier. When managing multiple accounts, separate Chrome profiles can also help keep each profile’s IP configuration distinct.

Follow the extension’s instructions to enter your IPFoxy Account ID and Proxy Token. Your proxy list will sync automatically.

Select the proxy you want to use and enable the connection.

Click the test button to confirm that the connection works and the detected location is correct before continuing.

Once setup is complete, keep the proxy extension enabled and maintain consistent cookies and browser settings. Unless you have a clear reason to troubleshoot, avoid repeatedly clearing cookies, switching devices, or changing your exit IP.

2. Open the Official Muse Sign-Up Page

The registration steps are the same regardless of the device environment you use. In the browser environment you have just configured, visit the official Muse website and follow the prompts to sign in to or create a Meta account.

If you are signing up with email, you can use a Gmail or Outlook address. If you already have a Meta account, you can sign in with it instead.

3. Enter Your Email and Verify It

Enter your email address, open your inbox, find the verification code sent by Meta, and return to the sign-up page to complete verification.

Some email providers, including QQ Mail and 163 Mail, may not receive the code or may deliver it with a significant delay. If that happens, refer to our Gmail registration guide and try an international email provider.

Avoid temporary email addresses, as you may need access to the inbox for future login verification or account recovery.

4. Enter Your Correct Date of Birth

Enter your actual date of birth as requested. Muse is for users aged 18 and older. Do not change your age to get around the restriction, as inconsistent information may cause problems during further verification.

5. Check Whether You Are Placed on the Waitlist

After submitting your account details, you may see an information page or a “Join the waitlist” message.

If the page says Muse is not yet available in your country or region, first review the eligibility and availability requirements. Seeing the waitlist does not, by itself, mean your IP is “unclean.” Muse may consider the network exit, browser environment, and account history in addition to the IP address, although its exact checks have not been made public. You can try a separate device environment and sign in with another Meta account, provided you meet the service’s eligibility requirements

6. Read the Information Page and Click “Get started”

If you reach an introduction or information page, you have passed the first checkpoint. Read the notes about task execution, background activity, and user controls, then click “Get started” to continue.

7. Complete Registration

Once registration is complete, you will land on the Muse home screen and can start giving it instructions. Follow the prompts to name your agent, test a basic task, and confirm that connected apps work as expected before moving on to more complex tasks.

8. What If You Are Asked to Verify Your Age?

Some accounts are asked to confirm their age before the final step, using a payment card or an available Facebook or Instagram account option.

Verification Method 1: Payment Card

Note that this process may place a temporary $1 authorization on your card. The page says it will be returned within 5–7 business days. This is intended to confirm that you are an adult, not to start a subscription or charge a fee. Keep the following details in mind:

Card number, expiration date, and CVV: Enter your actual card details.

Country or region: Select United States only if this accurately reflects the information requested and your situation.

ZIP code: Use a valid U.S. ZIP code only when the form legitimately calls for U.S. billing details. A mismatch between your billing information and region may trigger a verification failure.

Even with a U.S. residential IP, an age check may still appear, and results can vary over time. Keep your setup consistent and follow the verification options provided by Meta rather than repeatedly changing IPs to try to force approval.

Verification Method 2: Try the Social Account Options Shown on the Page

Since October, some users have reported more card verification declines as checks have become stricter. If Meta offers Facebook or Instagram verification, you can try that option instead.

If the age verification page offers a Facebook or Instagram sign-in option, select an account you own and can access normally, then follow the prompts to sign in and connect it.

The process typically looks like this:

Select the Facebook or Instagram verification option.

Confirm that you are being redirected to the account sign-in page.

Sign in to your own account and complete any additional verification it requires. Depending on the options available to you, this may include WhatsApp verification or verification on a mobile device.

Follow the instructions to confirm the account connection. Once confirmed, return to Muse to complete verification.

IV. How to Claim Free Tokens for Meta Muse

After registering, you may be able to claim free tokens through Meta Muse’s current referral reward program. If you meet the promotion’s requirements and successfully redeem an invite code, both parties may receive an additional 1 billion tokens. Check the offer page for the current reward amount and redemption limits.

Where to find the option:

  • Web: Settings → General → Usage → Redeem invite code
  • Mobile app: Settings → Redeem token

If you cannot find the option or redemption fails, check whether the code has already been redeemed, whether the offer period has expired, and whether the invite code still has available uses.

V. Conclusion

A stable network environment can help reduce connection interruptions and repeated setup from registration through everyday use. If you plan to use Muse in a local browser, you can follow this guide to configure Google Chrome with an IPFoxy proxy before completing registration and verification.

Once you have access, Muse can help organize information, conduct market research, interact with web pages, and work with connected apps such as email and calendars to manage messages and schedules. For continued use, keep your proxy connection working and use the same browser profile to maintain a consistent network environment.
