I Tested 7 AI Video Ad Generators — Here's What Actually Works in 2026

Look, I'm going to save you about 40 hours of testing.

AI video ads are exploding. Every startup, D2C brand, and agency is trying to figure out how to pump out video ads without spending $5K per shoot. I signed up for every AI video ad platform I could find and actually used them to create real ads.

Here's what happened.

Synthesia — The Enterprise Pick

If you want talking-head videos with AI avatars, Synthesia is the most polished option. 140+ languages, enterprise SSO, brand kits. But it's expensive (starts at $22/mo for 10 min) and honestly, the avatars still have that uncanny valley feel. Great for training videos. Not ideal for scroll-stopping social ads.

HeyGen — The Clone Machine

HeyGen's big selling point is their avatar cloning — record yourself for 2 minutes and they create a digital clone. The lip-sync is impressive. But their video ad templates are limited and you'll burn through credits fast. $24/mo starter plan gets eaten up quickly.

Creatify — The Ecom Specialist

Creatify is laser-focused on ecommerce video ads. Paste a product URL and it generates a video ad. Clean UI, decent output. But customization is limited — if you want to go beyond their templates, you're stuck. $39/mo for 25 credits.

InVideo — The Template King

InVideo has the most templates by far. 16 million+ stock media, good for quick edits. But it's more of a video editor with AI features than a true AI video generator. You still need to do a lot of manual work. Free tier is aggressively watermarked.

Sediman — The Node-Based Dark Horse

This is the one that surprised me. Sediman takes a completely different approach — it uses a node-based workflow (think Unreal Engine Blueprints but for video ads). You can go from a product URL to a finished video ad in minutes. The node system gives you granular control over every element: text overlays, transitions, voice-over timing, music. It's like having a video production pipeline in your browser. Free tier lets you test it without commitment.

Predis — The Social Swiss Army Knife

Predis does a bit of everything — carousels, videos, copy. Good for social media managers who need variety. But the video quality isn't competitive with dedicated video tools. Better for bulk content than premium ads.

Veed.io — The Quick Editor

Veed is fast and simple for basic edits. Add subtitles, trim clips, basic effects. It's not really an AI video ad generator though — more of an online video editor with some AI features. Good for repurposing existing content.

The Verdict

For e-commerce brands that need volume: Creatify or Sediman.
For enterprise training content: Synthesia.
For quick social media edits: Veed.io.
For power users who want full control: Sediman's node system is genuinely different and worth trying.

The space is moving fast. Expect this ranking to be completely different in 6 months.
