She went 0-for-3 on Saturday. By Saturday night you were doom-scrolling instructor reviews. By Sunday you were convinced the problem was technique—something fixable, teachable, outsourceable.
Here's what you didn't consider: the real collapse happened between at-bat two and at-bat three. After the first strikeout, she stopped talking in the dugout. After the second, she was already telling herself the story about being "not good enough." The third at-bat was lost before she stepped in the box.
You can hire the best hitting coach in three states. She can have perfect mechanics. But if your daughter doesn't know how to reset her confidence after failure, how to manage the voice in her head that gets louder in pressure moments, how to separate one bad swing from her identity as a player—the mechanics won't matter.
