You've started an interesting article. I look forward to the next one.
I get your point about the standards being a better way to develop for the web.
When I first started learning react, I got this feeling of absurdity.

I started with html in '99.

It was like most of this is meaningless after you build the project!
It compiled into minified code completely unreadable.
I also got concerned with the future of these frameworks and quit learning react. I chose Vue instead. Mostly because I don't trust fb and Angular showed me what any of these frameworks could become.

I'm not completely convinced of Vue either, I like how it's not owned by one of the big three. These frameworks essentially do the same thing, just slightly differently.

I don't know where I go with this series

I did not think that it will get this much attention.

I'm now developing web things since 2006 and I have seen this cycle several times now.

But in the end, what has been always there were the standards.

Even if Javascript now is not what it was 10 years ago it is still mostly the same just with more features.
