Week 1: 2 Users, 3 Generations — Here's What I Learned

I've been working on Ghost Operator for a while now — a free AI tool that turns YouTube transcripts into viral content assets like hooks, captions, hashtags, titles, and thumbnail text. This past week, I went live and started sharing it more openly.

Here's what happened.

The Numbers

  • Total users: 2
  • Generations this week: 3
  • Total generations so far: 10

Two users doesn't sound like much. But it's two real people who typed in a YouTube link and got back hooks and captions they could actually use. That's two people who didn't have to stare at a blank screen trying to write a hook from scratch.

What's Working

The core product works. Drop a YouTube URL, get back structured content assets. I've been testing it myself with my own content, and the output quality is solid. The hooks especially — they have that punchy, scroll-stopping quality that short-form creators need.

What's Not Working

Distribution. I built something useful and almost nobody knows it exists. That's the classic solo founder trap. You spend all your energy building and almost none telling people about it. This week I'm fixing that by writing more, sharing more, and being more honest about where things stand.

What's Next

I'm focusing on three things: getting the tool in front of more creators, improving the output quality based on early feedback, and documenting everything publicly. No vanity metrics here — just real progress.

If you're a content creator drowning in the blank page problem, I built this for you.
