What I really like about this project is that it goes far beyond being a recipe website.
Using a real community project to teach people GitHub, pull requests, and open-source collaboration is such a smart approach. Instead of learning Git through artificial exercises, contributors were actually adding something meaningful that represented their own culture and community.
And years later, the project still looks clean and usable — which is probably one of the best compliments you can give a frontend project. Good design ages well. 🙂
Food bringing people together is already powerful. Food teaching people how to contribute to open source at the same time? Even better. 🍲🦊
Beautiful project and an even better story behind it.

did...did you look at the app? We don't really have interactive cards, but I admire the hustle
Haha, fair point 😄 You caught me. I’ll take the hustle compliment though!
I found this interesting. Nice app.
thank you!
I love the idea. Bringing everyone together through food. I also love the minimalistic and clean design. You did a great job with this site. Congrats!
thanks it was a labor of love!
