What do you think differentiates a junior, mid level and senior dev?

It’s not always clear cut but I would say a junior is someone at the start of their career. They have less experience. It’s not all about knowledge, but they may have less overall experience in a number of areas and are just starting out. They need more guidance and mentoring.

Mid-level is your average developer. They’re comfortable in their role and can function more autonomously but don’t have more managerial or team leading responsibilities and perhaps don’t have any decision making power.

Seniors I would say are more experienced developers with some leadership duties and decision making power.

They’re just titles at the end of the day and there is overlap of course that blurs the lines a little.
