What have you been working on lately? How close is it to done?

20%? 50%? 80%?

Until it’s in front of the intended user of the thing, it may as well be 0% done.

In the manufacturing and retail businesses, products that are not yet in front of the user are called “inventory.” Inventory is one of the specifically identified areas of waste in Lean.

How can you reduce or eliminate inventory waste in your software delivery?
