Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is a survival horror game for the Nintendo DS, developed and published by Capcom. It is a remake of the original Resident Evil (1996) with updated controls, touchscreen functionality, multiplayer modes and DS exclusive game-play elements. It was released in 2006 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise. Players select to play as Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, members of the elite S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, who are dispatched to investigate a series of mysterious murders in the Arklay Mountains.
